What We're Watching: Human Kluge Machine
November 14, 2012, 7:07 am / Categories: Miscellaneous
“A kluge is a workaround, a quick-and-dirty solution, a clumsy, inelegant, difficult to extend, hard to maintain yet effective and quick solution to a problem.” That’s the wiki definition of the term Kluge, and for this video stunt Red Bull has applied it on a human scale at an airfield somewhere in the desert Southwest. Worth a watch, no doubt.
Athletes featured in the video include Sean MacCormac (Skydiver), Joey Brezinski (Skateboarder), Rickie Fowler (Golfer), Danny MacAskill (Trials Biker), Ryan Sheckler (Skateboarder), Drew Bezanson (BMX Rider), Bryce Menzies (Off-Road Truck Racer), Rhys Millen (Drifter), Robbie Maddison (Freestyle Motocross Rider), Lolo Jones (Hurdler), Pat Moore (Snowboarder).
—We’ll feature occasional “What We’re Watching” posts a few times each month. What’s a great adventure video you’ve seen recently? Link us to your video picks in the comment section below or via Facebook.
one and the same apparently (though Kluge pre-dates Rube apparently: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kludge
