Wine Cork Sandals

It’s wintertime, and few people are thinking about sandals. But Sole, a company known for its custom footbed products, has unveiled an interesting new take on the flip-flop. It is made from upcycled corks procured from wine bottles.

Everything on the sandal except for the rubber sole and strap is made from used corks the company gets from wineries, restaurants and wine drinkers throughout the country. Like its other sandal models, the to-be-released Sole flip-flops have a footbed and arch support that is said to mold to your foot. They come out in April and will cost a pricey $70. www.yoursole.com.
