Best 'Pseudo-Underground' Bike Event of Year
August 6, 2012, 1:31 pm / Categories: Biking
We have raced in the All City Championship in Minneapolis for a few years. (See a report from last year’s event here.) For the event this year, which is in two weeks, GearJunkie is a sponsor + we’ll have a good share of riders out there for the Bandit Cross event (Aug. 16) and the marquee Alleycat race on August 18. The multi-event weekend is one of the best pseudo-underground bike gatherings of the year. Full weekend schedule here plus details on the poster below. Be there!
Weekend Schedule
Thursday Aug 16th – Bandit Cross
Bryn Mawr Meadows, 7pm
Free to all and open to all types of bikes, though we prefer singlespeeds if you’ve got one. After-party at Fulton Brewery with the public premier of the Bandit Cross movie.
Friday Aug 17th – Track Bike Crit
Meet at One on One bike shop, 10pm
Open to brakeless fixed gears only, all types of handlebars allowed. From One on One we’ll ride to the race start. After we’ll head to the bar. Prize Categories: Men’s and Women’s 1st Place
Saturday Aug 18th – All City Championship 2012 Alleycat
Meet at One on One bike shop at 4pm / Race at 5pm
Bring a lock and a map and get your sweet self to One on One at 4 with a race start of 5. Expect 25-30 miles, all over this fair city of ours. After party to follow at Peacock Groove. We’ve got 5 kegs of Fulton Beer to drink and some badass D.J.‘s. Manned race stops will be posted on the Bike Jerks blog the morning of the race.
Sunday August 19th – Freeride
