Alleghenies Adventure Sweepstakes

Welcome to the Choose-Your-Alleghenies-Adventure Sweepstakes! This contest follows a successful sweepstakes last winter with REI Adventures, where Matt Eder of Portland, Ore., won a trip to Sequoia National Park. This summer, Gear Junkie LLC has teamed with The Alleghenies Tourism Council to launch a new Choose-Your-Adventure sweepstakes. Starting today (Aug. 3) and going through September 15, 2009, Gear Junkie readers can sign up for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid adventure-travel vacation to The Alleghenies.

Whitewater kayaking in the Alleghenies

In addition to airfare and the all-expenses paid trip, the winner will be outfitted with gear from sponsors including Wigwam, Duofold, and Teva. The winner and a travel companion will pick between one of five adventures trip itineraries, including mountain biking, hiking, fishing, paddling, and road biking in The Alleghenies.
