Department of Goods
May 19, 2010, 3:34 pm
In a near-Orwellian tone, the news came today that “The Department of Goods is Live; Full Price is Dead.” As reported by Backcountry.com, after six months of “poking, prodding, tweaking, testing, and gear loading,” the discount gear megastore was launched this week. (The store is an evolution of the now-defunct BackcountryOutlet.com, which sold “last year’s gear at insanely low prices,” as per the site’s description). Now, dear gear junkies, the promise of top-notch gear at dirt bag prices awaits. See for yourself at DepartmentofGoods.com.

the site has become way too heavy and slow after the reopen. They should’ve just kept the backcountry outlet.
