Bern Watts Carbon
March 1, 2010, 9:32 am / Categories: Winter Gear
With a safety certified lid that weighs less than a pound and is just as at home during summer as it is in winter, it’s no wonder why Bern had it locked to the table at a recent trade show.
The Bern Watts Carbon weighs a mere 15 ounces with its winter knit liner. Without it, the carbon fiber helmet is less than 13 ounces. It gives a new meaning to the phrase “light headed.”
The baseball-style helmet has a series of vents on top and a removable liner that transforms it from a skate or bike helmet to a ski or board helmet.
For safety, the single-impact lid, with an EPS liner, is Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and EN1077B certified.
Bern’s Watts Carbon is currently available for $230. www.bernunlimited.com
