Minimal Sandals — Luna Sandals take inspiration from the handmade footwear of the Tarahumara, a native tribe in Mexico known for its distance-running prowess. At first we were skeptics of the simple design — the sandals are just a thin slab of rubber and webbing straps — but the Lunas grew on us.
One GearJunkie editor wore the brand’s Venado model more than any other footwear in the warm months this year. Bonus points: The $65 sandals are Handmade in Seattle. (Go here for the full review of this product on GearJunkie.)
