I probably don’t need to introduce you to Strava art, the technique of “drawing” a picture using the workout tracking app to which so many of us post our GPS data.

But now Strava (or Runkeeper) art is being taken up another notch. Three guys in the UK launched SISU, a nifty piece of software that compiles your GPS data and creates poster art with it.

The program generates an image using many of your Strava tracks, compiling them into a single poster.

You can post the image to social media, but SISU will also print and ship you a high quality poster for a fee, anywhere in the world.

The software is easy to use. I just logged into Strava, pressed two buttons and my poster was immediately displayed on screen.

The software allowed me to change the color as well as the activity type displayed. Customization beyond that is possible, and the guys say they are happy to try to accommodate any ideas you request.

SISU was started last year when one of the founders was recovering from an injury. The company has been busy right away from the beginning.

The term SISU is a Finnish concept meaning endurance, resilience, tenacity, determination, and perseverance.

Hats off to these three for not letting this idea sit on the shelf and making it happen. It’s a fun way to remember all the training runs and races, year after year.
