Polartec Blanket Drive
December 31, 2009
The economy may be in the crapper. But Polartec is making it easy to give a little back — just become a fan on Facebook and for every nine people who sign up the company will give a blanket to someone in need.
As of this writing, 2,000 folks had fanned Polartec, so 200 blankets will soon be making their way to those in need. Although the company has had a difficult few years, including a bankruptcy, it has a history of doing good work. One example: When a Polartec production plant burned down more than a decade ago, the owner decided to keep paying the wages of his employees.
So if you’re on Facebook, click on over and become a fan before Monday, January 4. It might make a small (warm and fuzzy) difference in someone’s life. Sign up here: http://www.facebook.com/Polartec
