Karhu Strong Fulcrum Ride
August 21, 2009, 11:41 am / Categories: Running
Maximizing comfort and efficiency while keeping a simple design is what the Karhu Strong Fulcrum Ride shoe is all about. The shoe has a carbon-fiber “stability fulcrum” that’s said to provide “exceptional solidity” and help your foot fall into a more neutral and natural heel-to-toe stride position.
By using carbon fiber as well as a mostly mesh upper, Karhu’s high-end shoe is targeting serious runners. It’s touted to have stability and comfort without adding weight. (The shoe weighs about 11 ounces per foot in a size 9 men’s.)
The men’s shoe comes in white with a yellow accent, while the women get more pizazz with yellow on blue or white on yellow options. The Strong Rides are available now for $140. www.karhu.com
