The Megavalanche is the longest downhill mountain bike race in the world, covering 19 miles while dropping 6,500 feet. Racers take off from a mass start at the top of the Pic Blanc Glacier in France and race to the bottom, crossing a big chunk of snow and ice along the way. Joost Wichman, a four-time mountain bike world champion, strapped a GoPro on his back and captured the carnage at the start of the epic race this year.
