Live! 'Top 10 Gear' Awards

In 2010, GearJunkie.com founder and syndicated newspaper columnist Stephen Regenold trekked to Mount Everest in Nepal, climbed the highest peak in Iceland, and completed the arduous Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race in southern Chile. After a year of expeditions and adventures, Regenold has picked 10 outdoor gear products that stood out, a best-of-the-best list from the dozens of products he reviewed throughout the year.

Join Regenold this weekend, on Sunday November 21st at 2:00pm, where GJ will present the ‘Top 10 Gear Awards’ for 2010 onstage at the University of Minnesota in conjunction with Midwest Mountaineering’s biannual Outdoor Adventure Expo. The presentation venue, the Humphrey Center’s Cowles Auditorium, is across the street from the Midwest Expo tents.

Onstage, Regenold will unveil the “Top 10 Gear” awards — the best equipment tested and reviewed in 2010. The presentation will begin with a summary of Regenold’s adventures during 2010, including a slideshow featuring photos from destinations around the globe. A gear giveaway with audience members will wrap up the 45-minute presentation, including between $500 and $1000 in prizes in conjunction with Gear Junkie’s “SPOT the Holiday” promotion this winter.
