‘Off The Map’ Video: Lake Superior Sea Caves

Episode No. 2 in our Off The Map video series, “Lake Superior Sea Caves,” takes viewers to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, where GearJunkie and crew paddle a mile-long stretch of sandstone caves to go “spelunking in a boat.”

We cover the back story of this production in the post “Apostle Islands Cave Kayaking.” Thanks to Bryan Hansel, guide and owner of North Shore Expeditions, for the unique adventure tour into yawning caverns and under great arches of stone. Quite a trip!

—Watch episode No. 1, “The Lost Coast,” in our Off The Map series, which covers a trek on California’s Pacific Coast. Stay tuned by monitoring our micro-site, where we will release new videos each month, articles, maps, photos, and blog posts to track the entire “Off The Map” experience!
