Online Treasure Hunt: Roanoke
June 30, 2010, 8:14 am
As part of our summer event, Gear Junkie’s Treasure Hunt: Roanoke, we are hosting a second “online mini treasure hunt” this week. . .
The Arc’teryx Strato Jacket, a Polartec Thermal Pro fleece that crosses easily from casual to active pursuits, is the prize. The jacket has a “snow shedding low-profile” and a DWR finish (durable water repellent) to help bead water from fabric surface. It can be worn alone or as a warm mid-layer on cold days. $175.00 value.
Rules: “Hunt” the web to find the answers to the three questions below. One lucky Gear Junkie reader with the correct answers will be selected at random. Enter by Sunday, July 4th, for your chance to win!
All answers can be found at Roanoke Outside. Email your name, email address, and the correct answers to: roanoke@gearjunkie.com
ONLINE ‘MINI TREASURE HUNT’ QUESTIONS
1. What lake in the Roanoke area is best known for its striped bass fishery?
2. This municipal park is the second largest in the nation. (It has a major water source within its 12,700 acres and 40 miles of trails.) Name the park.
3. If you want to find “75 climbable boulders” in Roanoke, where would you go?
Good luck!
