I would like to try barefoot running, however I’ve tried it on the treadmill and am not a big fan. I am stuck in the ‘mill until winter thaws out here so these shoes would help me get to that goal of running barefoot. Plus, they are sweet! :D

Posted by Kelly - 12/01/2010 02:37 PM

The FiveFingers will just add to my winter snow running attire. If I wear them now, just think how Spring Ready I will be on those trails! I get plenty of eyebrow raises running in the winter, I may as well make it a double take!

I need a new pair because my KSO’s are ripping and I want to keep running!!!

Posted by Nora - 12/01/2010 02:42 PM

I have been barefoot running for 8 months on a dirt road. This has saved me from years of injury!! I have recently tried to run on the road and it’s cold! I need to keep running barefoot to keep moving forward with my goals. A pair of Bikilas would be such a wonderful thing for me. I have tried to inspire many as to how this method works.

I need a pair of VFFs this winter because I won’t go outside without them. I’ll get big and fat if I don’t exercise! :(

Posted by Tristan - 12/01/2010 02:43 PM

My name is tristan I am a 14 yr old high school student and recently my $150 running shoes were stolen. I love to run and would like to have a new pair of shoes. I am going to participate in the route 66 marathon in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And need a new pair of shoes to train in and use during the race.

Posted by Jason - 12/01/2010 02:44 PM

Got my first pair in Boston while out there for the marathon. Have since switched over to VFF running full time. Training for my first 50K run and planning on doing it in them. Its also and a hard core trail run(Superior Trail Run in Northern Minnesota). I have run my current ones into the ground! Tine first a new pair to continue the training!

I need FiveFingers because I am a barefoot mountain woman who needs to lose some weight. These would enable me to get outside more without having to put on (blech)shoes that always feel so unnatural and confining and get some exercise and fresh air. Come on folks, help me de-plumpify!

Posted by Nicholas - 12/01/2010 02:46 PM

I wore out my last pair of VFF and since I have been laid off for the last 8 months I have not been able to afford a new pair.
I really want to get back on the treadmill, but running in “normal” shoes hurts my injured ankle.

Posted by Kyle - 12/01/2010 02:46 PM

I just recently ran a marathon and would love to permanently switch to barefoot style running. I’ve already tried barefoot but reverted back to shoes due to the harsh ground of Washington state. These Fivefingers would help me a lot get back to close to barefoot. Plus I like the benefits of having toner legs.

Posted by Ryan - 12/01/2010 02:47 PM

I need a pair of vibrams because, as a college student, I do not have much extra money laying around for vibrams! My bikilas are completely worn out.

Posted by Jaime - 12/01/2010 02:47 PM

I NEED a pair for my wedding shoes! Boo on heels or ballet flats, VFF’s are perfect for my something blue!

Posted by kristen white - 12/01/2010 02:48 PM

I need a new pair of vibrums so I can continue my training for the tough mudder in Vermont this May, My last pair melted/burned while i was running in the spartan race. Also need them so i can continue with my strong woman training. thank you and happy holidays!

Posted by Alyssa - 12/01/2010 02:49 PM

Training all winter in a pair of VFF would be the best Christmas gift anyone could ask for. Just from wearing them now I feel my feet and lower legs getting stronger everyday. I am determined to train real hard this winter to be the best athlete I can be! And with the cold weather it would help having a nice pair of warm VFF :]

Posted by CJ Nygaard - 12/01/2010 02:50 PM

I began barefoot running this last spring and love it. Living in Northern Minnesota makes it virtually impossible for me to run barefoot in the winter snow. I am already going through running withdrawls.

Posted by Louisa - 12/01/2010 02:51 PM

I have been wanting a pair of VFF’s since I heard about them over a year ago just can’t seem to afford them. Something always gets in the way now they are on my christmas list, but that doesn’t mean I will get them. Lots of my running friends have them and love them so I would love a chance to experience them myself. Thank you so much.

I think it would be more efficient to say the reasons that I DON’T need a pair of Vibram Five Fingers.
Reason #1:……..
Alright, I can’t think of any reason I wouldn’t need a pair!

Posted by SFC Young - 12/01/2010 02:55 PM

I would like to win a pair because I hear they are great for building calf strength. I am redeploying from Iraq and may have to get knee surgery and go through rehab. I feel that the five fingers will help me get back up to my pre injury strength in my legs.

Posted by Dack Shearer - 12/01/2010 02:56 PM

I would looooove to get a pair of VFF’s to use while bow hunting this year. I think they would be an IDEAL shoe for stalking -Native Americans never wore big heavy boots in the woods =). Due to my fiance’s medical bills and 4 kids, I can’t afford to spend much money on gear for myself anymore. These shoes would be a huuuuge asset to me and my family by helping us put food on our table and in our freezer.=) Hope you consider me, THANKS FOR AN AWESOME GIVEAWAY -no matter who gets it. =)

Posted by Jose Stradley - 12/01/2010 02:58 PM

I would enjoy a new pair of VFF’s because I received a pair as a birthday present last year and have not ran in anything else since. I did however have a blowout in my FLOW’s while fly fishing the North Platte here in WY, and have been wanting to try a new model. Thank you for your consideration, Jose.

I’m gearing up to run my first 8K since giving birth to my 9 month old son. :-) After this 8K. I’m continuing back on my journey to run a 1/2 and marathon within the next 10 months. A pair of 5fingers would be just another piece of encouragement to help my training along!!

Posted by Crystal Peterson - 12/01/2010 02:59 PM

Well, I need a new pair because my KSOs recently joined the world of luggage lost during the holiday season WITH my backup racing flats and I have a marathon I have been training for in them coming up soon. While United Airlines should be the ones replacing them, they are not in a rush and I need to get moving!!

Posted by Brett White - 12/01/2010 03:00 PM

I would love a new pair of VFF to add to my KSO’s. I love getting the head turns and talking to people about the amazing products the VFF team have brought to market! I would LOVE to go running in the snow and will not be doubted by the superior designs of both the TrekSport or Bikila models, wouldn’t mind either of th…em! My KSO’s have a stitching problem that needs to be fixed and running completely barefoot in the snow could be a little chilly. My university finals are about to start so i can’t get that stitching problem fixed just yet. What a great surprise it would be to be able to go out when i am home from university and destress by going for a run! I would wear them EVERYWHERE, even in our harsh Canadian winter! Thank-you :D

Posted by Travis Boyd - 12/01/2010 03:00 PM

I want to strap these on and run around the Wallowa National Forest, leaving mysterious bigfoot prints everywhere!

Posted by Sheila E. Carey-Kozlowski - 12/01/2010 03:04 PM

I definitely would love a pair! I have seen a few people wearing them.. and I need to jumpstart my running work out… I keep telling myself to just buy them.. but of course I am the one who always has to wait… I am hoping to buy myself a pair after the holidays.. because like I said I never splurge on myself.. and I need to get back into my groove.. never mind my slinky black dress… Happy Holidays! Peace :)

As much as I would like another pair of VFF (I have the Sprint, which are not warm enough for winter here in Colorado), I would like a new pair for my husband EVEN MORE! :) He also has the Sprint VFFs. His are completely worn out…holes in the soles. :) He is flat-footed and can’t wear all kinds of shoes. The VFF feel great to him. We don’t have a lot of money and a new pair of VFF would REALLY help him out. He never asks for anything for himself, so I’m stepping in…

Posted by Matt - 12/01/2010 03:07 PM

If I don’t have these shoes I will die! My bare feet have become my best friends. They will kill me if I have to shackle them in casts for the winter. BIKILA!

Posted by Bobby Shirey - 12/01/2010 03:12 PM

I can’t afford a pair of any shoes, would be great to win these

Posted by Seth Anderson - 12/01/2010 03:13 PM

I would greatly appreciate these “shoes.” I served on summer missions this summer in Gulf Shores Alabama, and plan to actually move down there in January to serve long term. These shoes would make it easier to transition from the street to the beach, which i will have to do often as we will be witnessing in both areas. I have contemplated buying a pair, but have decided i need to save my money to help me move down there.

Posted by kenley - 12/01/2010 03:15 PM

my mother needs these. she’s always had problems standing up for long periods of time and the doctor said the best thing to do was for her just submit to a wheelchair. my mom isn’t having that. she wants to get stronger and exercise plus diet can help her. eventually she’ll have to succumb to her legs not being as strong but this would cover the exercise part. im not trying to make this a sob story or anything im just saying it would be beneficial to her and she can finally get a chance to experience comfortable shoes. thanks

I have been barefoot training(running, hiking, and martial arts) for over 3 years. I started using Vibram FiveFingers 2 months ago. My KSO Trek’s just don’t have the insulation for Utah winters(even with a good pair of Injinji socks) I actually just bought a pair of Flow’s for the winter. I’d take the Bikilia’s so I could have good “gym floor” shoes for my indoor training. I wear nothing but five fingers and can no longer wear regular shoes. Who needs ‘em anyway?

Posted by Steve - 12/01/2010 03:23 PM

I was injured in a training accident 4 years ago and was told I could never run again because of the garauntee of future injuries and would have to have both of my knees replaced before I was 30. I had chronic pain until I started running and walking in VFFs and now am wearing out my second pair. Wearing them, I have sparked several conversations with other injured service members and persuaded them to take a chance with the “funny looking toe shoes” and found the same results. I would love to have another pair to keep wearing, inspiring curiosity, and encouraging people I come in contact with to try VFFs and experience the same satisfaction and “rising from the ashes of military injuries” as I have had.

Posted by Aine - 12/01/2010 03:23 PM

My husband and I both have Vibram FF KSOs, but his are wearing through the toes because he runs in them at least 4 miles every day. (Rain, sleet, snow, etc.) So… I need these shoes so I can give him a new (and thicker) pair to get through these Wisconsin winters!

Posted by Christine - 12/01/2010 03:26 PM

When the extraterrestrials come down, hopefully they will take me in as one of their own when they see me wearing your alien feet. That’s why I need vibrams!

Posted by Nichole - 12/01/2010 03:27 PM

I need 5Fingers so my body can run naturally instead of the beating it takes during the 5 miles each day.

Posted by Melyssa - 12/01/2010 03:29 PM

I see lots of FiveFinger love on here! woo hoo! I want to win because I only have one pair LOL! – mel @ Go Mel, Run!

I’m the responsible for the training standards of the Portuguese Mountaineering Federation and I need a Five Fingers KSO Trek to pursuit the experience that I have started this summer whit the KSO; but this time in outdoor environment, more precisely in mountain trek and climbing.

Since the age of 15, I’ve been afflicted with a back injury. Now at age 37, running in classics, I am finding a passion for running again, the correct way. Zero back pain! Now, I just need some Bikilas for the Tough Mudder at the end of January. It will be cold, muddy and very wet.

One year ago after reading about amazing barefoot runners and Wim Hof (the iceman) running a marathon in the snow i wanted to try this for myself. So one night after getting completely wasted and with impaired judgement, i ran 7,7km in the snow in just my boxers. The day after i woke up with frostbites and i couldn’t feel my toes. This was my first time running barefoot and it felt great, fortunately all toes survived this fantastic experience.

It’s -10°C outside right now in Norway so i could really use some new shoes!

Posted by Kelly - 12/01/2010 03:35 PM

I finished my first marathon and now have to go a PT for my knee. They say it hurts because I’m a heel striker. Help me become a forefoot striker so I can run NYC next year!

Posted by Lynne - 12/01/2010 03:43 PM

I need some more VFF because I had a bad car accident a couple of years ago which wrecked my knees. Since I’ve been wearing my VFFs (which were a huge leap of faith for me) I’m not having half as many problems anymore.

I’ve never worn anything so comfortable :)

Posted by Jaime Rosario Rivera - 12/01/2010 03:46 PM

Why I would love to receive a new pair of VFF for free? Itwould really help me out financially with all of the setbacks I have experienced in the last 18-24 months with health, family, even the family animals getting sick and having to take my savings for new shoes and paying enormous bills while delaying me to purchase new shoes. Plus, it would be a great birthday gift/Dec. 23rd. Thanks, eh?

Posted by Cynthia - 12/01/2010 03:52 PM

I NEED a pair because I was hit by a car in July and these are the only shoes that I can walk in without pain and I have worn out my old ones.

Posted by Shannon Rogers - 12/01/2010 03:55 PM

I NEED a pair of Five Fingers for two reasons:

1. I teach middle school- one of my duties is to stand outside to make sure that our students enter/exit their rides safetly. I’m freezing my toes off out there so I need something to nestle my toes snugly!

2. I’m flat-footed, so being as close to barefoot as possible means ultimate comfort to me!

Thank you in advance!!

Posted by Matt - 12/01/2010 03:55 PM

They are just flat out cool and I want them.

Posted by Debbie Popiel - 12/01/2010 03:56 PM

I ran around as a kid barefoot constantly. Climbed trees, walked to the corner store, I rarely remember putting shoes on come to think of it. I got older and married a man who insists on shoes in the house! Can you believe it? I obviously cannot comply and have never run barefoot but I have to imagine that when God created the foot it was perfect just the way it is and running with this new product has got to be the closest thing to that as possible. I’d love to try them!

Posted by Brandon - 12/01/2010 03:56 PM

basically, i’ve worn through 3 pairs already and dont have a pair to work out in anymore.

Posted by Terese - 12/01/2010 03:58 PM

I am a mom of 4 always on the go, I LOVE being barefoot I live in a active community and would love to also bring VFF here and share the love, I have never had a pair but love them already!

Posted by Mandy - 12/01/2010 04:00 PM

I am a mother of three who has a pair. I run in them, surf, hike, tube you name it. I would like for all my kids to have a pair too.

Posted by JHag - 12/01/2010 04:00 PM

Why do I need a pair of VFF’s? Because I bought pair of VFF’s through an online auction type site – turned out to be fakes… my loss. I would love a real pair of FiveFingers!

Posted by Jenna - 12/01/2010 04:01 PM

My husband, Adam, could use a new pair as his are starting to fall apart from using them so much. He switched to them to “cure” shin splints and they have worked wonders and he has talked many friends in his squadron to buy them too. (despite the AF not liking them with PT gear) He could use the new pair before the marathon we’re running at Walt Disney World in January in honor of our son, who has muscular dystrophy. We’ve been able to raise over $8,500 so far for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, but haven’t had the money to buy him a new pair of vibrams for our run, which he will be finishing in the five fingers.

Posted by DrT - 12/01/2010 04:02 PM

Plainly put: I am broke, I could use a new pair of shoes, these things facinate me, I love going barefooted, but in Texas there’s too many burs, prickers, rocks, old wire and broken glass to do it safely. Climbing the cedar and mesquite tree’s arent a wise idea unless you have tough hands and even tougher feet. I am a fan, but I would love to have a pair to tout. Its damn cold and everything that isnt steel toed has been busted through… I need these ‘cause I need to have some fun.

Posted by Lee-Ann Leger - 12/01/2010 04:04 PM

I want to be an example for the other teachers i teach with. I’ve been bragging them since i’ve tried my best friends five fingers this summer. I bought a pair for my husband. I need a pair to get the movement going in my community.

Posted by Kait - 12/01/2010 04:05 PM

I need a pair of VFF’s because I am a violinist and I wear them all of the time…they help my body feel awesome and I need a winter pair…my others have holes in them I’ve worn them so much!

Posted by Anna - 12/01/2010 04:05 PM

I need vibram fingers for posture, improving my running style, and overall athleticism. My mom developed bone spurs on her feet, and (in my opinion) could have been prevented if vibram five fingers had been around when she was my age. Now it hurts for her to run, and I don’t want that. I’d like to run until I’m 70 :) ! And I think in order to do that, I’ll need a pair of these shoes.

Posted by Heather Schmidt - 12/01/2010 04:06 PM

I need a pair of fivefingers to give my friend for Christmas. She recently broke up with her boyfriend whom she was living with and is now sleeping on friends couches. She is working a part time minimum wage job and is attending college full time. This friend is the girl that introduced me to five fingers. Her’s ripped over the summer so she no longer has a pair and can’t afford new ones. I would like to be able to give them to her since she told me about them. I wore mine everyday this spring and summer and I am sad I had to tuck them away for the winter lol. They are my favorite shoes, and it is thanks to her :)

I need these shoes like I need water! They are so great, and I dont YET own a pair! I have tried them on many times, and kept them on as long as I was allowed…just in a tough spot financially…you know how the story goes! I look forward to wearing them for running, as well as in my housecleaning business. They are perfect for both!

I’m training for the Navy Seals and i would really love a pair of vibram fivefingers to build up all my leg muscles to prepare for the SEAL test and for boot-camp next summer, and i don’t have the money to by a pair.

My husband and I both became VFF wearers(5-10k Run’s and hiking) We strongly advocate the VFF being the best in minimalist wear-next to being barefoot! Recently, I passed my sprints down to my 13 year old daughter after getting my new Treks. She is wearing them proudly in Athletics, Track and Volleyball (it took alot of convincing to the coaches BUT they are on board) Now my 10 year old son, is left out.He begs to wear mine to school, haha! However, I wear a 39 and he would be about a 36. He asks for a pair everyday! We could be a barefootin family. Thanks for the chance to launch a younger group in the revolution. Have an AWESOME day!

I’m a varsity high school Cross Country and Track & Field runner who is looking for a pair of shoes to race in. During the winter season I run Indoor Track. Indoor Track does not allow spikes so I figure a pair of Vibram FiveFingers will help me run new personal records and inspire other athletes to purchase a pair of FiveFingers as well.

Posted by Rose - 12/01/2010 05:20 PM

I have a pair of classics which I wore all summer, for running, walking, around the house and even in my sales job where I have to spend the day on my feet. Now that the cold weather has come around, the classics are just not warm enough, even with socks. I’d love to have a pair that could take a snowy run… and still look good with a pair of dress pants.

Posted by Darrin Radke - 12/01/2010 05:26 PM

I want a new pair of Five Fingers because the pair I own are at least a size too large, I am unable to sprint in them because of the size, and Five Fingers are the best shoes available, and they look awesome! Wow! The colors on the example shoes are truly amazing!!

With winter here I’m forced to run more and more at the Gym. Due to policy I’m not allowed to run Barefoot or use my KSOs which see a lot of trail and general outdoor use. A new pair of Five Fingers would let me ditch regular shoes completely on the Treadmill and Track.

Posted by Robin - 12/01/2010 05:35 PM

I need a pair of Five Fingers so I can feel the texture of snow under my feet without getting cold, wet toes.

I need Five Fingers because it is summer in Australia and VERY HOT. Vibram Five Fingers will keep me cool, comfortable and healthy when I go adventuring the wild west coast and send in AWESOME pictures to Gear Junkie.

Posted by Andy G - 12/01/2010 05:57 PM

I need a pair because my open summer ones let the snow in, and have you seen the super-cool footprints the Bikilas leave behind? :)

Posted by Scott Handte - 12/01/2010 06:12 PM

I got a pair of KSO not to long ago I love them but I think I need another pair Possibly the Bikila more for running I am a big dude struggling to lose 60 lbs. Think the little extra padding might help!!!! Please consider me cause I got my pair of shoes for the next 3 year which is roughly how often I get shoes and don’t normally have more than 35-40 bucks to spend on shoes!!! Fingers crossed!!!Thanks for your consideration!!

I have been transitioning to a more minimalist form of running over the last year. I have been looking everywhere for a pair of treksports, but can’t seem to find them anywhere in Canada! I would love to win a pair and start ripping up the trails in them!!!!!

After my knee surgery, the only shoes I can wear comfortably is VFF. Having to run 3-5 times a week for the army, and the fact the army is now allowing wear of VFF’s makes them my ideal shoe for physical training.

Posted by JoanS - 12/01/2010 06:48 PM

I have a pair of Sprints that I LOVE. They are the only pair I can wear since my knee surgery that don’t hurt. Unfortunately, it’s getting REALLY cold in Missouri and it’s too cold to wear my Sprints outside. I have a pair of running, and two pairs of crosstrainers and haven’t worn them to the gym since I’ve gotten my VFFs. Even gave my 70+ year old mother (who’s been “wobbly” ever since she had chemo and radiation) my other pair because she doesn’t wobble when she wears them.

Posted by mike - 12/01/2010 06:51 PM

well im mike, im 23 and in the army. for years i struggeled to get better at running but no luck. im usually the slower one in my platoon run and need something to help out on my physical training test before i deploy. i recently bought a pair of kso trek multisport and could not take them off as soon as i got them, i even sleep in them sometimes(most the time) but anyway the fivefingers have helped me gain more speed endurance, stamina and more muscle in my feet. i think the bikila’s would help even more. though the kso’s are good they’re not quit the running shoe i thought they would be. i have a loving wife, my dog and alot of family that i love dearly and take care of first before anything. its a little hard to take care of myself and spend a little money for extras like shoe’s and what not and i really dont ask others for anything but i cant pass this up i love vibram fivefingers. so please i would love a new pair and would be greatful for them so think about this soldier before ya pass him up. thank you mike…….

I need a pair of your awesome five finger shoes, because I still have a pair of toe socks that I bought in the 70s and none of my other shoes work with those socks… plus my son just got a pair of your shoes, and I want to be the cool mom that wears the latest fashion… I am sure he would appreciate it!

Because up here in the Northwest, Bigfoot tracks in the snow tend to freak people out…until they follow them and they see what I’m wearing on my feet, and then they exclaim,“Well, now I’ve seen EVERYTHING!”

Help me spread my toes up here and take some pressure off “Harry” from those trackers and poachers!

Hi there, what an opportunity! I need a pair of your Five Fingers Treksport because at my young age of 62, I have developed Arthritis and it has become really difficult for me to walk as I used to. My son, who is a Vibram five-finger enthusiast believes I should get a pair ASAP, however, I have been unemployed since last February and it is not feasible for me to buy them. On the other hand,I can’t wait to enhance my stability and walk even better than I used to before! Hope I’m the lucky winner!

Because my brother (not a runner) went out and bought a pair of Vibram FiveFingers to use as water shoes at the ocean in Maine. Yes, they work for that, but come one…..I need to prove to him that you can RUN in them too. Maybe I’ll convert him from a cyclist to a runner.

I wear my KSO fives for everything! Treksports would keep me warmer so I can be the guy who leaves the vibram fives footprint in the snow for everyone, everywhere to see!!

I NEED another pair in a little bigger size than I currently have (need 38 instead of 37) so I can buy some of the socks to wear my Vibrams outside in the cold. Also, the fabric in my first pair started ripping away from the seam. Love them!

I just NEED them. I am an avid gym rat, I think that this would give me the edge that I need for a great leg workout. Plus the fact that I have 3 daughters to shop for this Christmas, I could use a free pair!

Posted by Chris - 12/01/2010 11:12 PM

I have been wearing the KSO since May. It started out as a way to train to help alieviate leg/foot pain. I love them so much I wear them whenever I’m not in my work boots. I live in Wisconsin and the winters get awful cold, wet, slushy and did I mention cold! I am looking to purchase a pair of the Vibram Five Finger Flow because the neoprene construction for warmth, waterproof protection for running out on the frozen tundra. A free pair given to me from your giveaway would give me the chance to still buy a pair for a friend and introduce her to the wonderful benefits of this footware!

Take care, Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!

I am a Police Officer in New England and former Marine. Recently (within the past year) I began running and working out exclusively in Fivefingers with great results. Having my feet trapped in boots for years took its toll on my ankles and feet; five fingers has helped me to correct those issues. After seeing my Fivefingers in the Gym and listening to my testimony, several other Officers began to train in Fivefingers. I work for a very busy Department and have to maintain a high level of physical fitness to keep myself and those around me safe. Training in Fivefingers has strengthened my legs, ankles, and feet, and have been instrumental in preventing injury.
I currently own the KSO’s, but will soon be unable to run outdoors in them due to the cold. The Bikilas would allow me to continue my current training program through the winter.

I PR’d in mine (tan/black) in a 5K and must have had 15 people stop and ask me what they were. Imagine the marketing I could do for you in a bright PINK pair? I ♥ my Vibrams!

My answer is short and to the point.I have a limited budget and these training shoes do not fit it. I run in the next best thing…Nike Free…thanks for considering me!

WHY? B/C I LOVE THEM! ASK ME WHAT I WOULD DO FOR A FREE PAIR OF VIBRAM FIVE FINGERS. BETTER YET ASK ME WHAT I WOULDN’T DO.

Posted by Joseph Sutich - 12/02/2010 01:15 PM

I would love to win because I would really look like a weirdo and maybe people would leave me alone at the gym..not my fault you ate too much stuffing and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving.

I need a pair of FiveFingers to use on my mountain treks in the hills of southern California. I feel too trapped in my shoes and my feet get cut up up when I go barefoot. I want to walk and run as humans were made to – without the cuts.

Posted by Cheryl - 12/02/2010 03:38 PM

I would love a pair of Vibrum’s to get that proverbial headstart on my spring running program. :-)

keep yur toes crossed!

I suffered a cut Achilles tendon when I was about 12 and had to have surgery twice on that particular foot. Every pair of running shoes I have ever worn makes my shinbone hurt for weeks from just one day of running. Ever since I started wearing my Vib’s that pain and any other pain don’t bother me one bit. My current pair are wearing thin and I would love to win a new pair.

Thank you,
Roland M.

I see people at my gym wearing these shoes. The Army (says its unfair advantage) has banned these shoes for fitness tests and I’d like to have a pair before the Navy (I’m enlisted) catches on.

I NEED a pair because my Chaco Z2’s get cold in the winter.

Learning to be a better athlete in the Winter is why I would love these. They look like they would help

I’m a poor college student training for a marathon in February. My pair of sprints is wearing out and I can’t afford a new pair. That’s why I need these shoes :)

I need a pair of vibram because i hear from all the other bodybuilders they are great for leg day and back day for deadlifts! My feet have been giving me problems and i have heard people have less pain once they started using the vibrams. My husband lost his job last year and thankfully found a new one but making considerable less so we don’t have the extra money

My underappreciated feet carry me wherever I slog w/ nary a complaint; yet they are rarely permitted to run al fresco…at their happiest!

I need a pair TO GIVE TO my ARMY husband so he can continue to feel good while doing PT. WE LOVE these shoes but they are expensive!!!

Posted by Hetty - 12/04/2010 09:49 PM

Why I need FiveFingers? There is only one explanation. Vibrant FiveFingers are;

V-ibrant,
I-mpressive,
B-etter
R-unning
A-nd
M-uch more

i REALLY NEED FiveFingers because I have had 4 knee surgeries on my right knee, now I am 30% disabled in that knee. Its painful to workout in REGULAR shoes with any type of heel. But the FiveFingers would help me train pain free! My doctor suggested wearing shoes with no heel and I believe FiveFingers would be the BEST choice!

I NEED to ‘go with the Flow’! I love the Vibram Sprints that I purchased this summer to come back from a stress fracture. I’m back up and running with better form than ever. But the temps have dropped here in Michigan and my poor tootsies are FREEZING! Would love to switch to a free pair of Flows so I can catch back up to my hubby in his KSOs. Gear Junkie and Vibram, help me to beat the pants off of him in a Jingle Jog this season!

I had a foot injury in the past and need to exercise my foot by wearing less confining shoes. My foot doesn’t get exercise in the winter like it does in the summer when I wear flip flops. Vibram Five Fingers would allow me to exercise my foot & toes more thoroughly.

I am struggling with conventional tennis shoes. I buy expensive, I buy cheap and all I get is injury. I underpronate and have high arches..I have done everything I have been told I should be doing and still MCL injury. I hate my runners..I loathe them everytime I look at them. I put in my (name withheld to protect the guilty) inserts and my feet scream in pain..they left bruises on my arches for 2 weeks. I need something that will allow natural running while offering protection. Commercial runners leave much to be desired.

These are COOl and would help me with a foot injury.

THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE VIBRAM I WAS HOOKED. I’VE ALWAYS BEEN ONE TO START A NEW LOOK. I’VE NEVER SEEN THEM AROUND HERE OR HEARD OF THEM EITHER. THEY COULD DEFINATELY HELP BUILD UP MY LEG STRENGH ESPECIALLY AFTER HAVING KNEE SURGERY, ALSO I COACH BASKETBALL AND BASEBALL, IF THE TEENS SAW ME WEARING THESE YOU KNOW THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE SOME TOO. WE WOULD START A NEW TREND IN EASTERN N.C..

I was advised by an Ortho physician to try the Vibram’s. I had an ORIF on my right ankle three years ago and have a hard time walking in regular tennis shoes. My doctor told me that Vibram’s would help me walk better, since I always went barefoot before I broke my ankle in three places!! They look awesome & would like to try them!

Well i’m planning on hiking the Appalchian Trail in the shortest amout of time as possible which means i will be running the trail. and i figured why not do it n some of the most comfortable shoes.

Posted by Tyler Fair - 12/26/2010 08:18 PM

I just finished the book Born to Run. As a state swimmer and runner, I want to try Vibram Five Fingers. I am 16, so broke! Thanks for considering me.
