Talk about dedication. Amber Dallman of St. Paul took her love for cycling to a pretty extreme level by riding a bicycle to the hospital to give birth.

The story, covered today by KMSP-TV, did not reveal if she was actually in labor when she rode, with her doctor’s blessing, to the hospital two weeks after her due date. She did ride regularly throughout her pregnancy. KMSP reports that Dallman works in public health promoting physical activity.

“I was overdue — almost two weeks overdue,” she told the station. “I wasn’t really showing signs of going into labor, so riding the Nice Ride to the hospital was kind of our last-ditch effort to see if something would happen.”
