Team GJ to Race in Patagonia
November 16, 2009, 2:36 pm / Categories: Adventure Racing
In early 2010, Stephen Regenold — a.k.a. “Gear Junkie” — will captain a team to race in the Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race, one of the toughest ultra-endurance events on the planet. The annual race, to be held February 9 – 17, 2010, is an iconic event through Tierra del Fuego at the tip of the South American Continent.
This year, GearJunkie.com will report live from Tierra del Fuego. We have built a dedicated website Channel to document Regenold and team’s preparation and participation in the race.
The “Patagonian Race” channel, which is modeled after the Gear Junkie’s recent successful Teva Mountain Games Channel at www.gearjunkie.com/tmg, includes a race updates blog, photo galleries, a gear page, and other race info.
In February, the Channel will include live coverage of the event by an onsite Gear Junkie reporter in Patagonia, including real-time race reports and GPS-based tracking of team positions.
Stay tuned as the “Patagonian Race” channel grows this year leading up to the big event!
