Video: Typical Tuesday in Life of Team GearJunkie/YogaSlackers
February 8, 2012, 11:51 pm / Categories: Miscellaneous
A new channel on GearJunkie, “Weekday Warrior,” highlights outdoor-adventure activities you can do in your neighborhood and near home, including things like urban bushwhacking, lunchtime 5Ks, and skateboarding with your dog (the latter a favorite “sport” of GearJunkie founder Stephen Regenold and his dog Rodney).
Last month, we asked two other GearJunkie mainstays, our race team members Jason and Chelsey Magness, to film a typical weekday training session in their home town of Bend, Ore. They ran, climbed, did yoga, and explored the urban “wilderness” of Bend, all from their front door in a two-hour true “weekday warrior” experience. Enjoy the video. Hope it offers a bit of motivation and an idea or two to spice up your weekdays ahead. It sure did on this side!
Thanks to Köppen, a new brand and sponsor of the “Weekday Warrior” section, which got outerwear and apparel on Jason and Chelsey for this video as well as supported our recent photo contests for which dozens of GearJunkie readers have submitted images of their own weekday adventures for a chance to win gear.
Check out the new section for info on the photo contest and a list of Weekday Warrior activities, including tips on organizing activities ranging from an ad hoc alleycat bike race to the aforementioned skateboarding with your dog!
