The company known for its yoga apparel will now enter the realm of hiking gear with a new clothing line. Check out the new kit now.

While lululemon has been making clothing for “sweaty pursuits” since 1998, it has never offered hiking-specific products — until now.

The company debuted its Hike collection on July 5, launching 33 pieces of gear for both men and women. Its new brand category offers clothing that’s water-resistant, packable, and convertible, according to the company. And the new course it charts, it says, is intuitive.

Lululemon customers “have always taken our products into the outdoors,” the company said. “So it was only natural to create a collection tailored to everything our guest loves about lululemon gear, made specifically for the needs of hiking.”

It’s the latest foray into new territory for lululemon, which released its first-ever line of women’s running shoes in March.

The hiking collection includes more storage capacity and ventilation than past offerings, as well as flexible designs that allow for multiple outdoor uses.

For example, the line’s “double-duty products” include sports bras and shorts that also function as swimwear.

Many of the other products have features including cinchable waistbands, mesh fabrications, and components that can be removed with a zipper.

The 33-piece collection includes 15 products for women, 10 for men, and eight unisex accessories. Prices range from $28 to $198 MSRP.

Our GearJunkie team was among the first to test the apparel and will share our first impressions soon. We also have a deep dive into the collection upcoming next week — stay tuned!
