Update: Thanks to all who submitted captions. There were loads of great responses, but in the end this one by reader “LoveGravity” stood out and made us snort over its stupefying mix of metaphor, pun, and climbing-world jargon: “Serta-fied lead on pitch two of Mt. Ever-Rest’s ‘Sleep-Number 5.14’ route.” Also worthy, reader “Gene” contributed “So comfortable you’ll sleep like a baby… eagle.”

Yep, they are both so bad that they’re good! We laughed, anyway.

Another reader, Dax, sent in “The things I will do for a little peace and quiet,” which we thought was a funny fit. Finally, “Joshua” submitted something good with his “For rent: Great mountain bird’s eye view, 1 bed, and a 5,000 foot drop.”

So, there you have it. . . thanks to all who sent in captions. Sleep tight!
