Tentsile’s tree tents and trampoline hammocks sure do look good in Instagram photos. But if you’re looking for a place to chill on a hot day, mesh is a must.

Tentsile timed its latest release just right. With summer right around the corner, the breezy Tentsile T-Mini gets you up off the ground and into cool breezes. A tri-corner mesh hammock, the T-Mini is the tree-camping brand’s lightest hanging option to date.

The T-Mini accommodates two people up to a total of 485 lbs. on a 40D polyester mesh floor.

We’ve used and generally liked Tentsile’s hanging tent. The three-point design provides a bouncier and more supportive base than a tradition hammock.

Of course, finding the right configuration of trees can be difficult, but it’s almost always doable. And like the Flite, Tentsile’s lightweight successor to its debut tree tent, the T-Mini uses just one ratchet strap.

Unlike its other products, however, Tentsile’s T-Mini is mesh. Not only will debris and sand fall through, but it’s more breathable than the larger Trillium hammock.

The mesh T-Mini ($150) looks like a chill way to hang out on a camping getaway, literally. But Tentsile also markets it as a multi-function accessory to its other products.

According to Tentsile, the 40-square-foot surface can be used as a gear cache. Or, place it under the Flite or Connect tents for an extra insulated double floor.

As an added bonus, the T-Mini minimizes the weight, space, and price penalties compared to other Tentsile offerings. At 4 lbs. the mesh hammock is Tentsile’s lightest product, it packs down to the smallest size (12″ x 6″ x 6″), and it’s the least expensive, $150.

If you’re looking to go beyond the two-person hammock for relaxing afternoons at the campground or lake, the T-Mini is worth a look.
