If you’ve got your keys, you’ll have a blade, too — that is the simple concept behind Mini Q, a key organizer that has a blade inside.

It holds four keys plus a single 2.35″ knife blade. It’s made with aluminum, titanium or brass body housing.

You can chose between a simple drop-point blade, a blade with a bottle opener, and a utility blade that has a screw-driver point.

So far, the Mini Q has been well received, raising $66,000 on Kickstarter (well beyond founder Bryce Alexander’s $14,000 goal).

There are three Mini Q’s available:

• Aircraft grade aluminum (1.7 oz., $39)

• Brass (4.16 oz., $54)

• Titanium (2.7 oz., $68)

The three models all come with a stainless steel blade (the company doesn’t specify the kind of steel used).

The body length is 3.04″, which will be useful in holding small keys. It doesn’t appear to be able to hold large car keys or, obviously, anything with a key fob.

The blade seems handy for small household or around the town tasks, but doesn’t really look like a replacement for an everyday carry folder.

We haven’t seen it in person, but with the success of the fundraiser, the brand has clearly found a market for its keys-with-blade design.
