Last month, a CP SPOT participant climbed Mount Rainier in Washington state to claim a “year’s supply” (52 pairs!) of Wigwam socks. Other participants scrambled to the base of El Capitan in Yosemite, circumnavigated Devils Tower in Wyoming, and hiked portions of the Appalachian Trail. They won watches from Suunto, Salomon shoes, knives from Wenger and Gerber, and one winner nabbed a SCI’CON bike case that retails for $1,400.
The ‘Checkpoint: SPOT’ contest is open to anyone with a SPOT satellite device. We are working to launch a smartphone version of the contest for November.
