It ain’t Primal Quest, but next month the Yogaslackers organization and Northern Heights Rock Gym will be hosting their second adventure race. . . in North Dakota.

The Extreme North Dakota Adventure Race is a 10-hour race set on September 26, 2009. Its course will include trekking, trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, orienteering, rope work, and mental challenges. Teams or three will work together in order to complete the course, which meanders for more than 50 miles through the woods, prairie, and river bottom land of Grand Forks County.

My team participated — and won, incidentally! — this event in 2007. The Yogaslackers crew put on a good race, and they are introducing the sport of AR to a corner of the country often neglected by the adventure sports world.
