Team GearJunkie/YogaSlackers continues on its mission to participate in the biggest, baddest adventure races around the world this year. Today, the squad, led by Jason Magness, started off on Expedition Idaho, a six-day event for 500+ miles through the state’s panhandle region. Trekking, mountain biking, whitewater paddling, and navigation are the promised disciplines on this expedition-length race. Here’s a video interview of the team pre-race. Wish us luck!

Update: Chelsey Magness made a last-minute withdrawal (she started the race but opted out three hours in) due to serious stomach illness. (“I could not keep any food down for days,” she said). She has been suffering since being introduced to a water-borne illness during the Raid The North Extreme race last month, from which several racers became sick after drinking untreated water. But Team GearJunkie/YogaSlackers will race Expedition Idaho as a three-man squad, and Chelsey hopes to rejoin the team mid-event if her condition improves. Please wish Chelsey a speedy recovery as she fights this nasty bug.
