Add to the litany of other crazy things in Florida: Xero Gravity Action Sports has announced plans to build a massive resort dedicated to action sports in Florida’s Osceola County. It includes a 14-story ski and snowboard mountain.

According to a February press release, the resort will open by 2018 pending approval by county officials. It will include a BMX racetrack, a skateboard park, a “snowball fight arena,” a 140-foot-tall rock climbing wall, an artificial whitewater rafting river, a Hyatt hotel and the “outdoor ski and snowboard mountain with nine snow tubing lanes.”

The resort plans to use an artificial surface called Snowflex, which when misted with water simulates riding on snow.

Chief Operating Officer Jim Hunt said that while the action sports world has grown, the amount of facilities to accommodate those sports has not kept pace.

“We intend to change that by offering an alternative to individuals and families who want to experience more than the typical ‘Ride Oriented’ theme parks and to those athletes who want to train and compete,” said Hunt.
