Gear of the Day: Columbia Mobex

Why you want to win this gear! At $100, the Mobex is a one-of-a-kind backpack with a network of flexible poles that provide structure. It’s kind of like a little tent on your back, including crisscrossing poles and a small dome-like compartment of lightweight rip-stop nylon fabric. It has a hip-belt pocket and breathable shoulder straps to promote airflow. Its exterior is almost slick feeling, guaranteeing no snags when you’re walking into the bush. Capacity of the daypack is about 1,600 cu. inches, and it weighs 1 lb. 13oz. when empty.
