Time To Give Back: #GivingTuesday

Now that we’re past the harrowing days of consumerism known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s time to take a deep breath, look around and remember that there are a lot of things more important than “things.”

#GivingTuesday is a day dedicated to personal philanthropy and inspired giving during the holiday season. In the outdoors world, one very worthy group that helps women fighting breast cancer is called Casting for Recovery.

Casting for Recovery is an official partner of #GivingTuesday with the mission to enhance the quality of life of women with breast cancer through a unique program that combines breast cancer education and peer support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.

The retreats offer opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life and experience healing connections with other women and nature. Casting for Recovery’s retreats are open to breast cancer survivors of all ages, in all stages of treatment and recovery, and are free to participants.

Fishing not your thing? Check out more #GivingTuesday opportunities and take a few minutes to help someone this holiday season.
