This multi-resort season ski pass is a crazy-good deal. The only catch? You’ll be skiing at independent resorts.

The Indy Pass is a multi-resort season pass that aims to offer skiers premier access to independently owned and operated ski areas. And it’s just $229 through Dec. 31.

The Indy Pass saw its first season last year and was introduced as a more affordable alternative to the EpicIkon, and Mountain Collective passes. Similar to Mountain Collective, which offers a diverse spread of resort options, Indy Pass-holders get access to more than 50 ski areas, with 2 days at each resort. After that, pass-holders can buy more days at each at a discounted rate.

No matter where you’re thinking about skiing or how often you ski, the Indy Pass is hands-down a great deal. Get 2 days at 59 resorts (that’s 118 user days). And like any other multi-resort pass, there are other perks too.

Indy Pass: Cheap Skiing at Independent Resorts

This season, the Indy Pass offers access to 59 resorts across North America (in places like New York, Wyoming, and British Columbia) and offers even more perks than before. The 2020-2021 Indy Pass includes two new pass products (Indy or Indy Plus), a purchase-protection program, and deals for lodging nearby its pass locations.

The best part? A kids’ Indy Pass is just $79 for an entire season of skiing. That’s pretty remarkable, especially when single-day tickets for youth at Indy’s partner resorts run from $40 to $80. Same with Indy’s adult season pass price of $229 — compared to single-ticket prices, it’s a crazy-good deal.

In addition to 2 days at each resort, Indy Pass-holders will get extra days at 25% off lift ticket prices. For comparison, Mountain Collective offers 2 days each at 23 locations in North America and abroad as well as 50% off lift tickets for extra days, but it will run you $450. The higher cost definitely reflects pass access to resorts abroad like Niseko, Japan, and Chamonix, France.

The lesson learned here is that it pays to ski at independent resorts. Or rather, it saves. Big time.

The Indy Season Pass is available for $229 through Dec. 31. Get yours now before prices go up.
