This winter jacket has rustic looks that stand out in a sea of puffies. And its big baffles and a herringbone twill face are a nod to Marmot’s past designs.
It’s time to prepare for the worst weather when temps drop, winds pick up, and slush comes down from the sky. Wouldn’t you rather venture out into those conditions behind a wall of waterproofing and the padded warmth of feathers?
Moosejaw is making that option more enticing with a 30% discount on the men’s Marmot Fordham Jacket. Act fast! This deal only lasts from Nov. 23 to Dec. 2.
Marmot Men’s Fordham Jacket
Combat the cold, wet weather of winter with a waterproof down jacket. With old-school looks, Marmot’s Fordham Jacket uses 700-fill-power down inside large baffles behind a twill face. The face fabric is treated with Marmot’s MemBrain laminate to create a breathable waterproofing that’s also hydrophilic to prevent internal condensation.
Of course, that same body vapor has to pass through the insulation as it moves from your body and out the jacket. So Marmot treats the down with Down Defender to prevent it from getting bogged down by moisture.
Zippered hand pockets can stash gloves or other goodies, and an internal media pocket keeps your smartphone warm and dry. For a classic look, the button-flap chest pockets can hold an energy bar or a pass to free up space elsewhere.
Fit matters, so there are adjustable Velcro cuffs and a drawcord hem to keep out the cold. Internal fleece cuffs keep the tops of hands covered and cozy in case the elements leak in. And the hood zips off for drier days.
