“We get to celebrate a success. So many times in environmental activism we don’t win the fight, and here, they are.”

That quote from the film “Mile By Mile” sums up the quest of three trail runners — Krissy Moehl, Jeff Browning, and Luke Nelson — who cross 106 miles through the newly-opened Patagonia Park in Chile. They are celebrating Conservacion Patagonica’s efforts to re-wild and protect this vast landscape.

Patagonia Trail Run

GearJunkie has long loved the Patagonia region, having explored and raced through the rugged and windswept terrain on multiple trips over the last decade.

This video mixes interviews with local environmentalists and footage of the runners crossing the wilderness to show why it is truly a landscape worth protecting.
