‘Checkpoint MN’ Scavenger Hunt Has $40K In Gear, Prizes

A statewide scavenger hunt kicks off in Minnesota today. Called Checkpoint MN, the event includes 10 checkpoint signs placed around the state.

Live from today (December 10, 2013) to February 7, 2014, the scavenger hunt is a do-it-yourself adventure to see “10 iconic places” around the state of Minnesota. Full rules and information are at CheckpointMN.com.

There are more than 20 gear sponsor brands and $40,000+ in prizes up for grabs. You earn one point per check-in and then redeem the points on a Prize page. For example, just three check-ins will net a participant a SPOT Gen3 Tracker, boots from Vasque, or a pair of Smith Optics sunglasses, to name a few.

The first participant who gets to all 10 checkpoints and validly “checks in” via a photo and upload to CheckpointMN.com will win a Grand Prize pack that includes a Framed Bikes ‘Minnesota 2.0’ Fat Bike, a SPOT Gen3 GPS Tracker, and much more.
