Goal Zero recommends owners immediately stop using certain Yeti power stations and seek free repairs.

Goal Zero has recalled its Yeti 25A Fast Charge power supply with input and output cords due to a potential fire hazard. The recall was first reported to the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Dec. 9.

The recall affects Yeti 25A Fast Charge Power Supplies with model number 98080.

“The connection between the power supply module and the output cord can be loose, causing the electrical connections to overheat, posing a fire hazard,” the recall reads.

Goal Zero received three reports of the power supplies overheating. The brand estimates about 4,500 units are in circulation. The recalled units sold between April 2019 and August 2020 for $150.

The good news is that Goal Zero recommends repair, so you don’t have to replace your power charger unit completely.

Goal Zero said it has received no reports of injury resulting from the defect.
