Oboz Footwear and Wildland Trekking have outdone themselves with this newest type of trekking tour.

Oboz Footwear and Wildland Trekking have teamed up to launch Trail-A-Roos, a kangaroo hiking excursion. Trust us, these tours beat any REI Adventure, hands down.

Wildland’s guided treks — organized and outfitted with Oboz — will take you to some of the most epic places on Earth (where roos are native, of course).

Similar to Wildland Trekking’s guided llama treks, Wildland Trekking will provide the kangaroos (trail buddy, pack mule, nap perch, whatever you need) and human guides too. Each hiker and their gear will be fitted to a kangaroo companion, based on the hiker’s experience level and volume of gear.

“With powerful stamina, a good demeanor, and stretchy pouches for all your extra baggage, kangaroos are the perfect hiking companion,” explained the organizers.

The guided trips run in small groups, anywhere from four to 12 people (plus an equal number of roos). The trek options run from a single overnight to a weeklong backpacking excursion.

“We know you’ll fall in love with these natively Australian marsupials (just in time for US Fish and Wildlife to be called). Joining a Trail-A-Roo adventure is something you won’t soon forget!” wrote Oboz.
