The Peace Love Car is a beloved icon of GearJunkie staff and friends. This home/transportation/storage locker and its pilots, YogaSlackers Sam Salwei and Raquel Hernandez, have inspired thousands during more than 450,000 miles of adventure around North America.

The couple have built an incredible life inside the 28 square feet of a 1988 Ford Festiva. Their days are filled with travel, teaching acro-yoga and slackline, and adventures.

Now on its last legs, Hernandez and Salwei set out on the “End Of The Road Tour,” a 45,000 mile journey meant to give the car one last hurrah on its way to the grave in the summer of 2014.

In doing so, the couple and filmmaker Ben Fullerton of the Caveman Collective captured an amazing amount of video footage — enough to create a really wonderful documentary if they can come up with the money to do the edit.

So now they are looking for help on Kickstarter. “The Road To Wanderlust” film can reach its potential with $25,000. The YogaSlackers offer some cool perks to their donors, from lip balms to private yoga classes and copies of the final film.

But really, the best reward will be hearing their story told in full. If you love the work of this group, head over and give them a financial hand. Judging from the brief Kickstarter video, the movie will be a classic tale of adventure.
