HUNT: 9-Year-Old Shoots Record Buck. Cole Huwar, 9, from Brookfield, Missouri, shot a large, 17-point buck during the early youth portion of deer hunting season. The buck’s antlers scored over 201 inches. Huwar entered his buck into a youth hunting competition and took first place among the 81 other competitors. Other hunters called it a “buck of a lifetime.”

RESCUE: Rescued Hiker Died But Brought Back to Life. National park workers rescued Michael Knapinski, 45, after he was lost overnight in a whiteout on Mount Rainier. CYCLE: In Honor of World Bicycle Relief’s Anniversary, Rapha Is Donating Bikes. Rather than having a sale on Black Friday, Rapha developed a Strava Challenge with the goal of donating 1,000 bikes to World Bicycle Relief, which celebrated its 15-year anniversary this month. The challenge is simple: Sign up for the Strava Challenge and ride as many kilometers as you can.

For every 1,000 km ridden worldwide, the Rapha Foundation will donate one bike. That’s 1 million kilometers total (over 620,000 miles) to reach their goal. But divide that by Rapha’s 15,000 members, and it should be easy to reach.

WINTER: Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival Releases More Film Info for Next Week. The VIMFF runs Nov. 20-29 (tickets are on sale now), and this year, VIMFF’s Snowsports Show series will benefit Protect Our Winters (POW) Canada.

The show, presented by Arc’teryx in partnership with POW, includes the world premieres of “Frozen in Time,” “Motherload,” and “Without a Paddle.” Plus, Katie Burrell will premiere her new film, “Coach.”

You can find that and all the other films here. Hurry, ticket prices will increase on Nov. 20.
