‘Fat Tire’ Footwear — An outrageous design, the Fat Tire GTX from Under Armour shows that Hoka isn’t the only footwear brand in the fat-shoe game. This stomper is made for moving fast and running on “the sloppiest singletrack around,” Under Armour cites, and its huge outsole is equipped with “tire rubber” from Michelin.

A waterproof Gore-Tex upper, Boa closure, and an orange/black/turquoise motif complete the one-of-a-kind design. ($200; fall 2015)
