Best Car Camping Stove — Jetboil Genesis Base Camp
We had a chance to test the Jetboil Genesis Base Camp before its release, and to summarize, this stove is awesome. We know, it’s not the only “clam shell” design ever made, but it is so good, in so many ways, that we’ve crowned it our best car camping stove yet.
The Genesis is compact, folding down to fit into a large cooking pot. It can be chained with other Jetboil stoves. The simmer is better than our kitchen stoves. All around, it’s top-shelf and is the stove you want in your car camping kit if you’ve got the $240 in your budget.
