YETI Tundra 45 Cooler: From $300 ($240 w/ Coupon)
YETI is rarely on sale, which is why we’re putting it up top. That and, well, just looking at a cooler has us daydreaming of spring adventures. It holds 28 cans (roomy!), but keeping icy beverages cold is only half the game. Take advantage of the tray to keep other foods cool but not frozen for your campfire meals.
By now, we’re assuming you know of its bear-proof rating and long-term durability. There are slots for locking the lid, and perhaps more importantly, tie-down slots for securing it in your boat or truck bed.
Here’s a hip-length half-zip fleece for shoulder season that’s easy to put on, take off, or unzip to dump heat. The B-corp’s classic color-blocking is on full display with bright recycled fibers, and it has a secure chest pocket for stashing essentials like lip balm or one of the brand’s face masks.
Cotopaxi Bataan Fanny Pack: $30 ($24 w/ Coupon)
Each fanny pack is likely to look a little different thanks to its employees choosing the colors for each. This has a 3L capacity, with interior pockets to help stay organized.
Last year, we awarded the Sense Ride 3 best overall for trail running shoes, so this update should maintain its balance of cushion and weight. It has a nice heel fit, soft upper, grippy outsole in various conditions, and enough cushion to ease the blows of missteps on rocks.
We reviewed Stanley’s titanium series, but the gist is these are ultralight, durable, and functional drinkware options. The double-wall vacuum insulation keeps drinks hot for 2 hours or cold for 3 hours, and the Multi-Cup can serve as a can koozie as well as a cup. To enjoy the titanium on the go, there’s also a travel mug.
Built upon the Raptor trail shoe chassis popular amongst thru-hikers, these boots add in above-the-ankle protection as well as a sturdier upper and a protective toe cap. And the GTX is a mix of GORE-TEX Extended Comfort waterproof-breathable linings and a GORE-FLEX nylon mesh for flexibility in wet conditions.
This perforated tee obviously lets air through. And the brand’s Quick N’ Fit fabric is a mix of nylon, polyester, and spandex for a cooling fabric with stretch and odor control.
Bontrager Rally WaveCel Mountain Bike Helmet: $150 ($120 w/ Coupon)
The high-value Bontrager Rally WaveCel has trail-specific features and a 5-star safety rating from an independent third-party lab. Adjustable (and washable) helmet pads and a snazzy BOA fit dial allow you to shape the helmet to your needs.
Feedback Sports Ride Prep Tool Kit: $120 ($96 w/ Coupon)
Whether you’re new to biking or have been around for a while, you’ll want to look at this kit. It’s a great way to keep clutch tools in one place, from tuning up in the garage or from the back of your car. Included tools are three-way Torx and hex; valve core tools; extender, spoke, and pedal wrenches; a chain pin press; a truing tool; and a good old-fashioned screwdriver.
