This father-son duo proves living the cabin dream doesn’t have to cost much. By reusing old pallets, they were able to build a cheap, functional, cool-looking cabin off the grid.

Most of us dream of having a remote place to get away from it all, but it seems impossibly expensive. Until now. Mike Pullen and his father prove you can build a fully functional cabin for almost no money. Gather up some used pallets, grab a jar of old nails, and get started.

Heck, this video is still worth watching even if you never intend to build a cabin. It’s one of the coolest pallet wood projects we’ve ever seen. And there’s just something relaxing about all that sawing, nailing, and building by hand. Sit back, unwind, and enjoy the off-grid goodness.
