Skiers can shave a little money on their winter travel budget by renting Patagonia winter wear through Awayco.

Traveling to the Rockies for an epic ski weekend? You can save cash and luggage space by renting most of the gear you need instead of buying it.

Earlier this year, Awayco launched rental gear for winter athletes, including skis, snowboards, and splitboards. Now, Patagonia will add its wares to the mix, offering outerwear for rent.

The move makes Patagonia the first apparel brand on Awayco’s platform and gives folks with limited ski days a cheaper option for ski shells, pants, and bibs.

Awayco: Patagonia Ski Gear Rental

For the launch, Patagonia will rent some of its ski lines out of its newest flagship store in north Denver. Skiers can peruse and reserve the gear through the Awayco app and website up to 6 months in advance.

The initial product line on offer includes men’s, women’s, and kids’ apparel items — like Powslayer pants and jackets, Snowdrifter bibs and jackets, and more.

Rentals cost between $20 and $40 per day. Compare that to the up to $700 retail cost of these items, and it’s huge savings for those who aren’t hitting the slopes every weekend.
