The Nixon Surf Challenge has grown from a small competition among friends to a traveling contest of incredible surfers.

Unlike many comps, the Nixon Surf Challenge is judged by the riders themselves, who award the much sought-after trophy for the best trick and the overall winner based on team voting. The event emphasizes free-surfing and style in a relaxed atmosphere.

The event showcases little-known surf venues such as the 2015 location of Hainan Island in the South China Sea, featured in the Epic TV video above.
