‘The Book of Pow’ Will Stoke Your Ski Season Dreams

Colorado is a skier’s paradise. And in ‘The Book of Pow,’ local skier John Spriggs brings us the pow, the moves, and the stoke.

In an ode to his home state, John Spriggs spent months putting together a 15-minute short film that shows him taking on some of the coolest, steepest lines in Colorado’s backcountry.

Evident in the video, Spriggs and his ski buddies were out most days of the season — in dry snow, powder, and heavy snowstorms. They were out to experience all the skiing in the state, on the best days and the worst.

There’s lots of powder, tons of crazy jumps and stunts, and sick gulleys and lines. Oh, and a double backflip off a rather low ramp. It’s the perfect stoke for the start of the ski season.
