Love to Hunt? Bring Out a First-Timer, Win First Lite Gear

A new First Lite initiative challenges seasoned hunters to take new folks afield. And you can win $250 in hunting gear in the process.

The push to recruit new hunters is on. And with popular culture beginning to embrace different types of hunting stories through both social media and television, many hunt-curious people are looking to fill their freezer for the first time

As a hunting brand, First Lite consistently sets a high bar for hunting integrity. The brand consistently promotes public lands education and conservation, keeps a strong focus on women’s participation, and now actively encourages mentoring afield.

Most mentoring happens either by volunteering, through family ties, or on a friend-to-friend basis. And these experiences can set a powerful journey in motion for new hunters. It’s certainly something to be celebrated.

“Our conservation manager, Ford Van Fossan, launched the #FirstLiteFirstHunts initiative this year in an effort to get people excited to bring new folks into the field and create new lifetime hunters,” Bridget Noonan, First Lite’s director of brand and marketing, shared with us.

By using the hashtag #FirstLiteFirstHunts and celebrating new success afield, mentors and mentees can both celebrate their time hunting and enter to win a monthly giveaway for a $250 gift card. For the brand, it’s personal as well as professional.

“First Lite’s business depends on hunters; it’s as simple as that,” Noonan said, “It’s incredibly important to us to advocate for hunter recruitment because getting new people in the field ensures the longevity of our brand and this industry that we love.

“We hope that the potential to win new gear helps encourage a few more people to get into the mountains or hardwoods this season!” And we at GearJunkie echo Noonan’s thoughts. Follow @firstlitehunting for more on the #FirstLiteFirstHunts giveaway.
