Backcountry expanded to its Winter Yard Sale to include deep savings on its own gear. Don’t miss these killer deals.
From Feb. 23 to 25, you’ll save an extra 20% on select Backcountry and Stoic snow apparel, skins, and skis. (You’ll see the added savings by putting the items in your cart!)
Inspired by the snows outside their windows, Backcountry’s winter gear is made with the same quality ingredients as the top brands it sells on its website. And for the next 3 days, you can get over half off men’s and women’s outerwear, apparel, and other ski and snowboard gear. Remember to add items to your cart to find the extra savings.
Backcountry makes a variety of apparel with nods to regional differences. For snow sports, in particular, that means clothes for wet, stormy days and dry powder days. Lastly, Stoic is included in the bump deal, so you can save on comfy pants, fleeces, and shirts, as well.
Check out the examples below and then explore out the larger Winter Yard Sale selection — which added new items and lasts until the end of the month.
20% More Savings on Winter Gear
Backcountry’s Girdwood GORE-TEX Insulated Pants combine tough waterproof protection with the breathability of GORE-TEX. These are built with high-output days in the cold. Nice touches include an internal microfleece waistband, internal gaiters, and reinforced kick patches.
The companion jacket to the Girdwood pants uses quilted insulation for low-bulk warmth, a powder skirt and hood, and two center zips for sealing up on whiteout days.
Backcountry is based in Salt Lake City, and its employees are accustomed to bountiful snowstorms. That’s why they named this line after the nearby Cottonwood Canyons.
This jacket (and bibs below) are all about waterproof protection and durability, so it’s a fit for PNW skiers and riders too. The three-layer GORE-TEX jacket has a segmented sleeve for more freedom of movement in the forearms as well as customary features like an internal powder skirt and big pockets for skins, and it all seals up with YKK AquaGuard zippers.
The Cottonwoods Bibs are made for wet and whiteout conditions and use a GORE-TEX fabric that emphasizes its waterproof tech. It’s GORE-TEX, so breathability is part of the mix too. The bibs have added stretch in the side panels, an adjustable waist, internal gaiters, scuff guards, and zippers on the inner thighs for dumping heat.
Stoic Travelers Pant & Ripstop Hiking Pant: From $29 (Up to 64% Off)
Exclusive to Backcountry, the Travelers pants are built for all-day comfort, whether that’s long hauls, errands around town, or life around the house. Roomy sizing comes with stretch and secure zip pockets for a wallet and keys.
The Ripstop Hiking Pants are for more technical terrain in cooler weather but still have that stretch.
Backcountry Collaboration Skins: From $101 (Up to 28% Off)
Backcountry worked with Black Diamond for the GlideLite Skin ($132, 20% Off) with a focus on traction, lightness, and packability. Similarly, the Alpinist Climbing Skins ($127, 10% Off) are a collab with G3 and feature self-aligning stainless steel tip connectors and a self-camming tail clip.
