It’s not made for a dog to scale a cliff. But a startup dog-equipment company called Bravery has designed a top-fastening canine pack that stands out.
A killer feature is the pack’s waterproof pouches. Load it with dog food or accessories, and let Rover run. Even if he swims the stuff will be safe.
Bravery designed the PCT Pack after founder Patrick Tratio’s dog was injured by an ill-fitting pack on a hike up Mount Hood. The company has launched a Kickstarter campaign in an attempt to raise $45,000 for production.
The PCT pack has reflective detailing, attachment points, breathable interior fabric, and an emergency handle for a human to grab if the dog gets in trouble.
If you have a dog and would like to support a startup check out Bravery online and get a pack for $120 if the fundraiser succeeds. The PCT pack is expected to retail for about $150 when it goes to wide release in 2014.
