Oregon is a land of natural wonders — and a few free hidden bikes!
To celebrate the state’s beauty, Travel Oregon teamed up with a few local bike builders to design seven unique cycles that represent seven distinct Oregon regions. Here’s the kicker: These bikes are hidden in iconic locations and the lucky individuals who find the bikes get to keep them.
One bike will be hidden each week throughout the summer. Every Monday, hints to each bike’s location will be released through Travel Oregon’s site, Facebook and Twitter. Or you can sign up to receive clues through Travel Oregon’s distribution list.
These are some cool rides and worth some hunting! Here’s a look at the bikes:
The Mount Hood. Wolfhound Cycles. FOUND
The Smith Rocket. Vulture Cycles. FOUND
The Painted Hills. Igleheart Custom Frames and Forks. Week of July 6
The Wallowas. Breadwinner Cycles. Week of July 13
The Columbia River Gorge. Agonaut Cycles. Week of July 20
The Oregon Coast. Ahearne Cycles. Week of July 27
The Crater Lake. Desalvo Cycles. Week of August 3
In or around Oregon this summer? This might be a worthwhile addition to your itinerary. Good luck on the hunt!
