The Pontiac Silverdome was a special place for fans of the Detroit Lions from 1975–2001. But when the team moved to Ford Stadium, the once-largest-in-NFL arena fell into disuse and disrepair.

Enter up-and-coming professional BMX rider and Michigan native Tyler Fernengal. He saw potential in the dilapidated structure as a haven for one epic bike ride.

The resulting video is part stunt riding, part poetic farewell to a piece of sports history — and it’s all pretty darned cool.
