SPOT Messenger Return
December 15, 2009, 11:06 am
Spot LLC, maker of the namesake satellite tracker device, has issued a product return program for a limited number of customers who activated a new SPOT device this fall.
The voluntary return is for new model SPOT Satellite GPS Messengers only. It applies to devices purchased since October 1, 2009.
During recent testing, the company said it was discovered that some of the new SPOT devices “might not meet battery and messaging operating specifications.” Visit www.findmespot.com/exchange for complete details.
Replacement product will be available in early 2010. This notice does not affect the original SPOT Satellite Personal Tracker. Customers can identify the unaffected SPOT 1 product as it is clearly marked as the “SPOT Personal Tracker” on front. The operating condition does not apply to any other SPOT products.
