Win gear and an adventure trip to the United Kingdom. Indeed, Sierra Designs has partnered with the Visit Wales tourism organization and Virgin Atlantic to put on the 2009 Wales Adventure Sweepstakes, an international backpacking trip for two with all the necessary gear for an outdoor adventure.
The grand prize package includes round-trip airfare for two on Virgin Atlantic, two nights lodging in a luxury yurt at the Graig Wen resort, a BritRail Pass for transportation to Snowdonia National Park, and two nights at Escape, a luxurious seaside bed and breakfast, prior to flying home. For gear, you’ll get a Sierra Designs Lightning XT 4 tent, two Verde 20 sleeping bags, and two Cyclone Eco Jackets & Pants.

The sweeps closes on September 30, with a winner notified shortly thereafter. Winners can choose to travel any time before October 1, 2010. Backpacking will be a self-guided adventure, with the winner deciding where they will go and what they will see. The BritRail pass will provide access to numerous possibilities.

My mother was born in Wales and I was fortunate enough to visit Wales many years back. What a treat it would be to back pack through this lovely countryside.
